Patricia Montoya oversees aspects of Food & Wellness Department including nutrition education, advocacy, community engagement, food production & NiaCentral catering. Patricia is driven to promote nutrition education among adults and children to adopt healthy lifestyles, advocate for better foods policies, and expand this idea around the communities.
She is originally from Bolivia and studied Nutrition and Dietetics in North Carolina. Prior to joining the organization, Patricia volunteered with organizations that promote nutrition education among immigrant families and children from Latin American countries, where she instructed cooking classes, food workshops, and wellness activities.
She has been to 9 countries around the world!
