CentroNía is committed to supporting parents in their role as their child’s first and most important teacher. We build strong relationships with families to support their well-being and create positive parent-child relationships, allowing both to learn and grow together.
Through partnerships with other trusted community service providers in DC and Maryland, CentroNía works to ensure families find the services they need in the languages they speak. These services include:
CentroNía develops and curates parent workshops and training based on the needs of our community. These opportunities allow families to learn about a wide range of topics, including parenting skills, child development, employment readiness, adult education, computer classes, and English language courses.
CentroNía also provides concrete relief for our most vulnerable families, including diapers and pull-ups, infant formula, food, hygiene supplies, clothing, toys, and much more.
The children and families in our community were especially vulnerable to the social, health, and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had disproportionately affected the vulnerable community we serve. This increased our families’ need for services that support family well-being.
