Did you know onions have more sugar than apples? This beef and cabbage stir-fry is sweet and hearty, great to serve with rice! If you’re feeling adventurous, try barley instead. It’s more chewy and is another new texture for your child to try and explore!
Beef & Cabbage Stir-Fry (Serves 6)
- Heat pan on medium-high heat and add oil. Add onion and cook until onions are lightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Add minced ginger.
- Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink.
- Add cabbage and cook until it wilts. Mix together soy sauce and water and pour over beef and cabbage. Taste and season with more salt and pepper if needed. Simmer for 1 more minute and serve with brown rice, or barley as in above!
