CentroNía is dedicated to providing high-quality childcare to your kids, but we are also committed to supporting parents and families. We recognize that parents and families are the most important guide and teachers in their children’s lives, which is why we build strong relationships with families to support their well-being and create positive parent/child relationships so both can learn and grow together.
Through partnerships with other community service providers, we work hard to help our families find services they need. We also include these family services in the languages they speak. Some of them include:
- Legal aid
- Tax clinics
- Health care services
- Financial assistance
- Counseling
- Immigration support
- Case management
A past Parent Zoom Session with CentroNía parents
Recently, we held a Maryland Insurance Informative Session with Maryland Health Connection to discuss the insurance registration process, dental and health care coverage, and providers. Parents and families can join such information sessions on all the services to ensure they have the knowledge to best support their family’s needs.
We also develop and curate parent workshops and training is that we deem essential to our community. These educational trainings provide growth opportunities for families in a range of topics including parenting skills, child development, employment readiness, adult education, computer classes, and English language courses.
This past month we held a Welcome Meeting for CentroNía Maryland and Upshur Parents that discussed topics such as parenting styles, discipline, and temper tantrums. These meetings allow parents to be informed and prepared for the new school year and motivated for their children's new school journey.
