CentroNía was proudly represented by a number of our dedicated teachers at this year’s DC Men in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Conference, a unique gathering aimed at advancing leadership, knowledge, and equity in early childhood education. The conference brought together educators from across the region to engage in thoughtful discussions and skill-building workshops focused on resilient leadership, equity, and the integration of research-based curriculum into classroom practices.

Held as a free event open to all men and women working in early childhood education, the conference welcomed a diverse group of professionals who were united by a commitment to supporting young learners and nurturing a positive and inclusive learning environment. A core theme of the event was the essential role that men play in the early childhood education workforce, a traditionally female-dominated field. By celebrating the contributions of male educators, the DC Men in ECE Conference promoted a more inclusive view of what it means to be a teacher and role model in early childhood settings.

Throughout the day, our CentroNía educators engaged in interactive workshops that provided practical strategies for enhancing instructional practices, meeting the latest education requirements, and building resilience in leadership. Sessions on implementing a research-based curriculum and fostering equity were especially valuable, offering insights into creating learning environments where all children and educators can thrive.
