Beginning October 1, 2016, OSSE will assume the role of lead operator of the DC Childcare Connections Resource and Referral Hotline from CentroNía.
For almost 5 years, CentroNía has had the privilege of operating the DC Childcare Connections Resource & Referral Hotline for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). This has given CentroNía the unique opportunity to work with community-based organizations, child development facilities, and government agencies throughout the entire District of Columbia to guarantee high-quality childcare is accessible for all families in need.
During this period, CentroNía has connected more than 4,000 families with licensed childcare providers, government agencies, and human resource organizations in Washington, DC. In addition, we have operated a free resource library complete with a wide variety of materials open to childcare providers.
