Orlando Fidalgo

Orlando serves as the Senior Director of Finance, overseeing financial operations, planning and analysis, audit processes, and risk management. He is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and offering strategic financial guidance to help achieve the organization’s goals.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science and has over 15 years of experience in nonprofit, social purpose, and international organizations. While primarily based in the U.S., Orlando has extensive global experience. Most recently serving as Assistant Controller at Population Services International (PSI), managing revenue, billing, reporting, and compliance for a global portfolio. Prior to PSI, he held senior finance roles at ACDI/VOCA, TechnoServe, and the Behavioral Insights Team, where he led multi-country financial operations, corporate and project audits, and local capacity building initiatives.

Originally from Cabo Verde, Orlando enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his family. They enjoy fishing, hiking, and camping. He is also an avid soccer enthusiast and has coached his son’s youth soccer team for the past five years.
