Jennifer Salgado is the CDA coordinator for CentroNía. She coordinates and implements CentroNía Institute’s CDA program by assisting with the CDA Admissions process and in acquiring the scholarships for the CDA application for the initial certification and renewals. Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in the Fine Arts from the University of Puerto Rico.
In Puerto Rico, Jennifer worked as a tele-interpreter for an outsourcing company, as an interpreter for a government contractor after Hurricane Maria. This is where she canvassed different towns and neighborhoods around the island, assisting survivors. She was then a Disaster Survivor Specialist for FEMA, were she was deployed for two disasters and has worked as an art teacher for extended care and summer programs.
Jennifer joined CentroNía in 2018, where she started assisting teachers in our Upshur site and as an Admissions Specialist providing support to the admissions process in our Maryland center. In the fall of 2019 she went on to be a full time Bilingual Admissions Specialist in our Maryland site before transitioning to her current role.
Jennifer loves art museums, music, and dancing. She also enjoys learning about different cultures and traditions, as they all have been wonderful tools to guide her in doing what she always has enjoyed most, which is helping people.
