With 18 years of experience in the field of early childhood education, Indalee started her career at UDC child development center, where she worked as a classroom teacher while pursuing her degree.

She was also the Center Director at Covenant House Washington and was responsible for the licensing and opening of the site, the hiring of teachers, and ran a program that included children of the families in the community as well as the children of the homeless youth that Covenant House serviced. Her work experience also includes her work with Child Trends, a nonprofit research organization in Bethesda, Maryland, where she was one of their pre-k class assessors for the DCPS school system.

She is originally from Honduras and loves to travel. Although, while not being able to have any traveling adventures due to the global pandemic, she has embarked in a new adventure, being a parent to a 4 year old toddler!
