In response to recent actions of DC and Maryland local governments, CentroNía will extend the temporary closure of its centers to ensure the health and safety of children, families, and staff. All CentroNía centers in Washington DC and Maryland will now be closed through April 12. We anticipate we will continue to be closed at least until April 24 but will make that announcement in the coming days.
While this decision was made to prioritize the health and safety of our entire community, we understand that it will be disruptive. We are grateful for your ongoing patience and flexibility as we manage the dynamic nature of this event and ask for continued patience and trust as CentroNía continues to navigate this unprecedented situation.
As you can imagine, this extended closure will seriously test CentroNía’s ability to plan and operate as we have in the past. I, the Board of Directors and my leadership team are working diligently to mitigate the foreseeable effects of the closure on our families and staff.
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing commitment to making the safety of our children, families, and staff a priority. Regular updates will be shared with you via email. For past communications, resources, and information about COVID-19, please visit www.centronia.org/coronavirus.
