Congratulations to CentroNía’s own Elizabeth Bruce for her win in the 2019 Next Generation Indie Book Awards education category. CentroNía’s Theatrical Journey Playbook by Elizabeth Bruce has been recognized and lauded previously and continues to bring attention to the importance of imagination and role-playing skills in children’s development. Elizabeth has been affiliated with CentroNía for more than 30 years and has helped through the years to nurture creativity and arts education in the children. Her book is meant to help teachers create in-depth lesson plans that will help build confidence in children in a constructive educational approach. Her accomplishment will be recognized at an awards reception at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. and will be catalogued in the American Library Association. Next Generation Indie Book Awards (NGIBA), based in West Virginia, is the largest international book awards program for indie authors and independent publishers. In its thirteenth year of operation, the Next Generation Indie Book Awards was established to recognize and honor the most exceptional independently published books in over 70 different categories. Funding Organizations such as the McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the D.C. commission for the Arts and Humanities have been essential in bringing Elizabeth’s book to fruition. We are proud of Elizabeth’s accomplishments and will continue to support her in the future.
