As summer quickly approaches, the CentroNía community celebrates the successful transition of 105 early learners from sites in Washington D.C. and Maryland who will be moving on to Kindergarten. Congratulations to the children and their families who saw their children grow and develop exponentially in their first five years.
Early childhood education at CentroNía is more than child care, teachers instill a love for learning from a young age and ensure early learners have a strong foundation by the time they reach elementary school.
For the educators and staff at CentroNía, this means after years of love and support their students (and families) have the tools they need to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Thank you to everyone who makes this moment possible each year, the CentroNía family of teachers and staff, volunteers and donors, and community partners. It truly takes a village, and now “Kindergarten, here we come!”

“The first five years are extremely important for the development of a child’s brain. An excellent early childhood education has a positive impact on a child’s emotional, social, mental and physical development, as well as on the adult they will become. Not only does it pay dividends for children, but for our workforce, and nation as a whole. Courage for Kids is honored to partner with CentroNia, which has set the standard for bilingual multicultural education, and does an outstanding job with pre-K children preparing them for school. We are thrilled to celebrate the special occasion of preschool graduation by giving the graduates a backpack filled with school supplies so that they have what they need to start Kindergarten”
