Every year CentroNía invites volunteers, families, and children to celebrate Book-O-Ween – a celebration that refocuses the energy of Halloween around the love of reading and learning. This year, we welcomed a great group of volunteers from the community – they read everything from Dr. Seuss classics like Green Eggs and Ham to bilingual Spanish/English books like El Día de Ana. After reading everyone marched outside for a short parade where parents, volunteers, and staff worked together to guide the early learners around the block at our Columbia Road site. The CentroNía community is very happy with the excitement around Book-O-Ween this year, and so grateful to those who supported this special day.

All in all, THANK YOU for making Book-O-Ween a success! If you think Book-O-Ween sounds fun and you’d like to volunteer next year, be sure to fill out our volunteer application so we can add you to our list.
