On February 20, 2016, Rosalba Bonilla-Acosta, Director of CentroNía Maryland and Esteban Morales, CentroNía Institute Director, represented CentroNía in an interview with Linea Directa—a weekly talk show that airs every Saturday on Telemundo Washington. In the interview, Esteban and Rosalba discussed why access to early childhood education is vital for children’s academic success. “The latest scientific studies show that 90% of a child’s brain is developed by age 5. That’s why it is critical that children receive a high-quality early childhood education” stated Morales. During the half hour discussion, Rosalba and Esteban agreed that schools and parents play fundamental roles in a child’s education and development. They shared with the audience various tips on how families can support the development of their young children at home, and specifically how CentroNía supports children and families in Washington DC and the Montgomery County area.
