We are happy to announce our Child Development Associate (CDA) Training program graduations were a smashing success and every student can now apply to obtain a credential!
Elizabeth Groginsky, OSSE’s Assistant Superintendent of Early Learning, joined the celebration and expressed her excitement as the students accepted their certificate for graduating CentroNía CDA Training program. All 91 CDA students at CentroNía participated in a seven module training program consisting of 150 hours of hands-on practice in a model classroom. The classes were divided into two cohorts, English and Spanish, so students had the opportunity to learn in either language. The training focused on increasing knowledge of child development, how to work with children with special needs and/or challenging behaviors, how to use age appropriate assessment tools, and how to engage in intentional planning to support children’s growth and learning.

Congratulations to all!
