Program Improvement and Expansion
Program improvement should always be driven by evaluation performance data from measures that are relevant to program goals. Performance targets provide programs with concrete benchmarks by which to judge their progress. The Outcomes Framework provides both through its department-specific Logic Models.
Once this outcomes framework is fully implemented with baseline data and firm performance targets, CentroNía staff and administration will be able to assess department and program progress towards reaching the performance targets specified. Determining which performance targets are met and which are not met will inform each department about the strengths and weaknesses of our activities and interventions. Performance targets that are not met may indicate a need for attention and program improvement or reassessment.
The Outcomes Framework can also help guide us in our historic expansion to Maryland and Southeast Washington. As we begins new programs we can start with the appropriate logic models and performance targets for each program component, and then modify both the logic models and performance targets to match the new program and population. Using the current Outcomes Framework as a basis for expansion will ensure that new programs are comparable to existing programs for evaluation and monitoring purposes.
